Sara Rychtarik was born in Louisiana and spent her childhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sydney, Australia. She graduated from Barnard College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English and French Studies.

Sara has also studied at the International Center of Photography and the Center for Book Arts. She has worked extensively in film, music, and photographic production, and has produced several short films, as well as a television series.

She has photographed for such publications as Details and Black Book, and her work has been included in several solo and group exhibitions, including the “Queens International 2006″ at the Queens Museum of Art.

Sara Rychtarik was awarded a grant from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and Queens Council on the Arts for her series Queens Plaza.
